The NY native shared a few details in a rapid-fire interview for Vogue.
Pay attention everyone, because Sarah Jessica Parker is doing things again. She’s not releasing any shoe collections this time, but the tour she recently gave Vogue of her New York townhouse is just as exciting. Obviously, it’s an East Village townhouse, so it would be great, whoever was hosting, but Parker just adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the whole thing.
SJP shows off that infamous style in her own home.
Reminisce about the good ol’ days of MTV, as SJP welcomes you in Cribs-style! Watch as she answers rapid fire questions about New York, gracefully leaning on a banister! Listen to the tasteful jazz she just randomly had playing when the interviewer dropped by completely unannounced!
To be fair, the mastermind behind the video does a pretty good job of making it seem “hip” and “spontaneous” and “on-the-go”. And SJP’s um-ing and ah-ing, her offering the dude a glass of water and answering the phone mid-interview – it all adds to the overall impression.
Watch the video below.
Some highlights: Parker would like to Vietnam, but wouldn’t leave New York for anything. She didn’t go to prom, but she had the dress all picked out. It was peach (really, SJP? We’d be very disappointed, but it was the 80s after all.) Oh and she can apparently recite Company lyrics at the drop of a hat. In short, we should all strive to be a little more like Sarah Jessica Parker every day. Or something.
The video is part of Vogue magazine's Web series "Vogue Diaries," which has previously featured the likes of Beyoncé, Lena Dunham, Tayor Swift and Meryl Streep.
If you think Parker looks put together, take a look at her apartment!
