It’s all based on the real life story of reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, who chronicled their investigations in the book, Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love. In 2010 the two journalists were also awarded the Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting for their work at the Philadelphia Daily News uncovering the scandal.

4. So when can we expect it?

‘Busted’ appears to be in the very early stages of development, even if Sarah is officially on board they still have the rest of the roles to cast including the second lead. But Deadline reports that the plan, as of now, is to set the rest of the cast before shopping the series to networks. Fingers crossed and if it all goes well, we'll hopefully be seeing Sarah back on the small screen sooner than expected.
