A birthday party in Anchorage, Alaska, turned violent recently, when members of former vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin's family were caught up in a fight between other party goers. The party, which was supposedly held as an unofficial birthday celebration, saw the oldest children engaged in the ensuing brawl.

No one has been charged, as of yet

According to the Anchorage Police Department, the fight involved 'roughly 20 people', apparently under the influence of alcohol, and took place at around 11pm on the night of Saturday the 6th September. No charges have been filed at this time, according to a statement issued by the Police Spokesperson, Jennifer Castro.

According to Alaskan Dispatch News, Castro stated "None of the involved parties wanted to press charges at the time of the incident and no arrests were made at the scene. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident." She went on to confirm that "some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party."

Upon arriving in a stretch Hummer limousine (according to Amanda Coyne), the Palin family discovered that one of those in attendance at the party, was the ex-boyfriend of Willow - the 20-year-old middle daughter of the family.
