Following the family tradition of conducting their private business very publicly, Track Palin’s divorce details have been published by TMZ. Sarah Palin’s oldest child is divorcing his wife, Britta and it seems that he’ll do very nicely out of the legal proceedings. He gets to keep his guns, for a start. Track and Britta jointly filed for divorce in an Alaskan court, which suggests that they have already come to an agreement regarding the division of property and childcare arrangements. They only married last year, in 2011.

Track Palin, 23, is an Army reservist and commercial fisherman. He currently earns $42,800 per year and has agreed to pay $642 a month in child support to Britta to help raise their one year old daughter. Track, meanwhile, will walk away from the marriage with a $30,000 Wells Fargo bank account, $500 in tools and his pride and joy – his $1,000 gun collection. His 22 year old soon-to-be-ex wife will walk away with a $2,500 bank account and her $4,000 collection of jewellery. And, of course, she’ll no longer be a Palin, which has to be a priceless reward, given the amount of scorn and ridicule that the family attracts.

We’ll just have to pray that Track doesn’t decide to turn his relationship woes into a reality TV programme, like his little sister Bristol did, with Bristol Palin: Life’s A Tripp, which made for pretty painful viewing.
