English actor Sean Bean turned down the lead role in 1997 British film The Full Monty because he was too busy.
Many people thought the Lord Of The Rings star would have been perfect for the role, given that it was set in his hometown of Sheffield, England.
But the lead part was eventually handed to Scottish actor Robert Carlyle who had to adopt a different accent.
Bean says, "I was too busy. I think it was at the time when I was doing Sharpe and maybe it was a bit close to home, if you know what I mean."
