Sean Rowe - Downwind

New York folk artist Sean Rowe unveils the video for his new single 'Downwind' which is currently available for free download. The track is taken from his upcoming album 'The Salesman and the Shark' set for release on October 8th 2012 through Anti Records.

The video is a black and white reflection of the song and depicts a criminal on the run from the police; hitting the road and constantly moving around to avoid being thrown back into jail. It has a great classic country feel with Sean's deep, raw vocals and lyrical subject fiercely rivalling those of late music legend Johnny Cash. It does, however, have all the catchiness of a true indie pop song which will undoubtedly appeal to mainstream audiences. Sean's inspiration for writing the song came from his fascination with 'the idea of the fugitive on the run. relying on his wit and survival skills to elude capture' according to Rolling Stone.

Sean first gained attention when he earned an opening support slot for UK band Noah and the Whale which landed him with Anti Records. The label re-released his second solo album 'Magic' last year to predominantly positive reviews. 'The Salesman and the Shark' looks to be that bit better judging by the response from producer Woody Jackson. 'Sean Rowe is just an amazing singer', he said. 'When you first hear his voice, you can't figure out if it's for real or not.'
