Divergent

It was another week for starry movie premieres. In Los Angeles, Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Theo James and Ashley Judd walked the red carpet for Divergent. Meanwhile in London, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie and Jenny Agutter were on hand for the blue carpet premiere of the sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The Marvel action blockbuster opens next week in Britain, and the following week in the US. As for new trailers, we got our first glimpse of Snoopy and Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie, the first big-screen outing for the beloved comic strip characters. Produced by Blue Sky, the company behind Ice Age and Rio, the film opens next year in time to commemorate the comic strip's 65th anniversary. Transcendence

There is also a new trailer for Transcendence, the artificial intelligence thriller starring Johnny Depp along with Morgan Freeman, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Cillian Murphy and Kate Mara. Directed by Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister, the film looks like a brain-bending romp. It opens next month. Watch 'Transcendence' Alternative Trailer.

A new international trailer for the summer's blockbuster re-imagining of Godzilla shows off the film's epic scale as well as how director Gareth Edwards has re-created the tone of the vintage Japanese monster movies this is based on. The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen and Sally Hawkins. It opens in May. Watch 'Godzilla' International Trailer.

We also got a new, much more detailed trailer for Maleficent, which is also out in May. It's a live-action spin on Disney's classic Sleeping Beauty story as told from the perspective of Angelina Jolie's wicked queen. It looks visually thrilling, and features supporting roles for Juno Temple, Elle Fanning and Sharlto Copley, as well as British icons Peter Capaldi, Miranda Richardson, Lesley Manville and Imelda Staunton. Watch 'Godzilla' International Trailer.

And just before Darren Aronofsky's Noah arrives in cinemas, we have a new video feature about what looks like a seriously impressive movie. Aronofsky, Russell Crowe, Emma Watson and production designer Mark Friedberg talk about recreating the biblical legend of the ark on-screen.
