Shakira is set to release a new single.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' hitmaker has announced she will release an upcoming track called 'Chantaje', which features Maluma, in a string of cryptic posts on social media.

Alongside her Instagram posts, which include one of her standing in front of a whiteboard with various cities penned, she wrote:''I hope you guys been paying attention to the clues I've been posting today. I will send a DM to one of the first to correctly guess the name of my new single and the artist I've collaborated with. Post your guesses in the comments below, and keep an eye on your Insta inbox...''

And the star also posted a photo of her dressed as a magician, holding a wand and a white rabbit, to further hint to her new project.

She titled the post: ''Selfie of the day. Nothing special or maybe?''

Whilst the third and final clue captured the blonde beauty holding up a poster, which featured a picture of Alejandro Sanz + TA + G.

The 39-year-old concluded all posts with a culmination of all of the uploads explaining her reason for choosing them.

She wrote: ''Magic was the name of my first album ever and also Maluma's. The crown is Maluma's tattoo. And lastly, 'Chan' is Alejandro Sanz's nickname, plus you add the 'TA' and the G sound at the end.''
