BOYZONE star Shane Lynch can't wait to reunite with his former bandmates - but only after they have become friends again.

The five-piece met up last month (APR04) for the first time since they split in 2000 when Lynch appeared on British game show The Games.

There have since been reports the Irish boyband - Lynch, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and STEPHEN GATELY - plan to reunite.

Lynch is keen to get behind the microphone again, but he wants to take things slowly.

The singer says, "It's a fresh start for all of us guys and we have to go from the beginning as friends again. We haven't spent any time together over the past four years so we need a little time together, as people, to understand each other again.

"I'm not saying it isn't going to happen and I'm not saying it is. I've said to the lads that I'd love to go on tour, I'd love to make more music with Boyzone.

"I've told the lads that if they wanted to do a tour I'd be up for it."
