Jerry Buss Dies Aged 80: The Man Who Made The L.A Lakers 'Hollywood'

Jerry Buss Kobe Bryant Magic Johnson Shaquille O'Neal

Jerry Buss, the long-time owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, has died aged 80. The self-made millionaire made his fortune in real estate and bought the legendary west-coast NBA outfit in 1979, charting the team's success with marquee signings Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant and, of course, Shaquille O'Neal.

Jerry Buss Will Be Sadly Missed By Lakers Fans

Buss, who led the team to 10 championships, turned the game of basketball into "Showtime," and was the brains behind getting celebrities sitting courtside and having the Laker Girls dancing during timeouts. "I really tried to create a Laker image, a distinct identity," Buss said. "I mean, the Lakers are pretty damn Hollywood."

Ferrell Ejects Shaq From Lakers Game, Comic Goes Undercover As Security

Will Ferrell Shaquille O'Neal

Will Ferrell ejects Shaq O’Neal from a Lakers game? Has the world gone entirely topsy turvy? Apparently not. Last night (February 12, 2013), Will Ferrell donned one of the iconic red jackets worn by the security at Lakers games at the Staples Centre and took on the role of one of the serious, surly men that make sure everything runs smoothly and checks that nothing gets out of hand during the games. The name badge that Will was wearing was slightly less ‘iconic’ than the red coat, however and read “Ted Vagina.”

Ferrell somehow managed not to crack a smile as he played the role of one of the Staples Center’s security bods. Sporting cropped hair and an impressive moustache, in the YouTube video, Ferrell can be seen eyeballing members of the audience and letting them know he’s watching them. Then, he waves at one audience member to leave his seat and ushers the punter towards him. As the man stands up, his gargantuan frame is all too familiar. It’s Shaquille O’Neal! The former baseball player willingly places his hands behind his back as Ferrell ejects him from the stadium.

We’re not sure exactly what Shaq had done wrong but we’ll wager Ferrell had caught the YouTube clip of O’Neal miming along to Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance. That was pretty criminal, right?

Number One Fan: Shaquille O'Neal Lip-Syncs To Beyonce's 'Halo' At Super Bowl Half Time Show

Beyonce Knowles Shaquille O'Neal

Is Shaquille O’Neal Beyonce’s number one fan? Quite possibly. Shaq entertained his Twitter fans throughout Sunday’s Super Bowl game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers and even posted a clip of himself online, miming along to Beyoncé’s half time show. Well, we say ‘miming.’ It was a pretty bad version of lip-syncing. Shaq was obviously showing solidarity to Bey, in the wake of the great lip-syncing scandal of her presidential inauguration appearance. He was also going for laughs though, which is exactly what he’s got, now the video’s gone viral.

This isn’t the first time that the former basketball player has filmed himself lip-syncing to one of Beyonce’s tracks, though. He posted a video online about two years ago of himself dressed up in drag and singing along to ‘Beautiful Nightmare.’ Perhaps he’s angling for a support slot on Beyonce’s forthcoming world tour? Shaq showed his love for Beyonce’s spectacular half time show by tweeting “I can feel your halo beyonce was fabulous.” We assume he was talking about the former Destiny’s Child singer and not his own performance, here.

Shaq Buys $235K House: Yep, Just A Normal House

Shaquille O'Neal

Buying a $235k house seems normal, right? But when Shaq buys a $235K house, it's almost worth calling a state of emergency. Something must be wrong. Why is the one of the most recognizable sports stars on the planet - a man worth some $250 million - buying a regular house for just $235k?

Ok, so it's still a solid amount to splash on a home, but not for Shaq, who currently lives in an 11-bedroom, 13-bath mansion outside Orlando, which includes a 20,000-aquare-foot basketball court and a deluxe garage full of sports cars. It even featured on MTV Cribs and remains one of the most impressive properties to grace the show. However, according to TMZ.com, the basketball star has laid down $235k on a very normal 3,900 square foot place in Mount Dora, Florida. At the moment, it's unclear why the former LA Lakers man has bought the house, though it boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms, an entertainment room and granite counter tops. Still pretty swanky.

There's still no comment from Shaq's people, though it's likely that he's snapped up the property for investment or business purposes. One of his many ventures includes real-estate development projects aimed at assisting Orlando homeowners facing foreclosure.

Freddy Got Fingered Review

Zero

Hey, you know what's funny? False accusations of child molestation. That's just the most hilarious way to get back at your father for being mean to you because you're a hopeless screw-up. At least, that's what Tom Green seems to think.

Green is that MTV personality who takes a video camera out into the world to record himself accosting embarrassed strangers and performing gross-out stunts for the amusement of easily entertained viewers. He wrote, directed and stars in "Freddy Got Fingered," a lose collection of sub-par Green gags orbiting around a 28-year-old unemployed nitwit whose dad (Rip Torn) hates him because, well, he's a worthless human being who goes out of his way to make Dad ashamed of him.

Aww, poor Tom. He's so misunderstood.
