Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that 'The Osbournes' will return as an ''update'' of the family's lives but not as a ''proper series''.
Sharon Osbourne has confirmed 'The Osbournes' will return to television screens.
The TV personality told The Talk yesterday (11.11.14) that the reality series starring herself, her husband Ozzy Osbourne, her son Jack Osbourne and her daughter Kelly Osbourne is set to start filming again in early 2015.
However, she doesn't consider the comeback a ''proper series'' and sees it as more of an ''update'' of her family's life.
She said: ''At most, there will only be six to eight episodes and a catch-up on our lives and where we are now, because it's been so long since we've been seen as a family and our family has grown.
''We have a granddaughter and a gorgeous daughter-in-law.''
The return of the hit TV show - which won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality TV Program and originally aired on MTV from 2002 to 2005 - has been orchestrated by Sharon's rocker hubby who confessed he would like to do an episode of the show now he is ''clean and sober''.
She said: ''It was all my husband's doing. He looked back on his life and he said, 'I wish we could have done The Osbournes now where I'm clean and sober.'''
A source also confirmed to E! News that the ''show will not be returning to MTV.''
