The Precious star filed for divorce from Lamar Sally, her former husband of three years, in 2014, while a surrogate was pregnant with their child, Lamar, Jr., who was born later that year (14).

She declared no interest in the child and wanted a judge to rule she wasn't the mother but she lost the appeal in early 2016 and had been paying Sally $4,100 (£3,300) a month in child support.

He filed papers in December (16) asking for more money and on Tuesday (24Jan17) Shepherd's representative revealed to that his bid had been unsuccessful, and added, “Shepherd now hopes that her ex will stop his frivolous attempts to get more money out of her and will seek gainful employment to take care of his child like any other capable parent.”

His lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan issued his own statement insisting Sally wasn't living off her payments.

Shepherd then took her issues with Sally to Twitter by writing, "For the record… I always offered to financially care for my ex-husband’s son. What he was demanding was not fair & allowed him to not work…"

During her rant, she also involved her first ex-husband Jeff Tarpley, the father of her son Jeffrey, claiming he had been feeding Sally information.

"How many ex husbands does it take to get money from a single mom. Two. #dumb and #dumber #getalife #getajob," she wrote. "Sorry for all ex-husband tweets. I picked ‘em & accept consequences of bad choices …but never in my wildest dreams did I think they were (shifty). Never a problem helping ex financially w (with) his son… just wanted a fair decision and not made to pay an amount borne from greed and deception."

Sherri joked she needed to take a break from her rant before Sally took her to court for "making him look like a gold digger" but she returned hours later to share a screengrab of his dating profile to claim he was lying on it.

"#BEWARE In court docs he says he only works 20-30 hours/wk. But his dating profile says $100k #Liar #WatchOut #Scam... 'I’m single, well off & looking' …Hmmm I wonder if he’s using the #ChildSupport money I pay for him to be 'well off'".
