I like Shia LaBeouf. I like that he does the opposite of what everyone else tells him to do. I like the paper bag thing. I like seeing pictures of him wearing scruffy jackets while everyone’s sporting a tux or a designer dress. And I like the fact he was in Transformers, and now he’s doing weird art stuff.

Who else is this entertaining?

Now, the 27-year-old star set up an art installation entitled #IAMSORRY at a Los Angeles gallery, to run daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s free, so head down.

According to Reuters, 30 people waited outside, and were asked to pick up an item from a table that had a wrench, a vase of flowers, a bottle of bourbon and Hershey's chocolate kisses among other items laying on it. Next step: visitors were then taken through a curtain into a black room, where LaBeouf was sitting with that bag on his head – the one with "I Am Not Famous Anymore" written on it.

"You can still see his eyes, and it was like, it was kind of wet under, it looked like he had been crying and his eyes were like so sad. So I just immediately got so awkward, because you're like trying to talk to someone who is not talking back to you, in this room by yourself," said Maycie Thornton, a visitor to the gallery.

Alex Schlagel - another fan - asked the actor to remove the paper bag from his head, before explain how much she enjoyed his films. She even left her phone number, but LaBeouf does not verbally communicate with the attendees. "It was weird to be excited because he was so sad, and then I didn't know what else to say, so I asked if I could take his bag off," Schlagel explained.
