Welsh diva DAME Shirley Bassey has launched a scathing attack on the music industry, insisting real showbusiness has been replaced by crass TV talent contests. The flamboyant GOLDFINGER star who, in the past, has slammed both Charlotte Church and Mariah Carey, brands contemporary pop idols bland and materialistic. She fumes, "Showbusiness has gone. Gone! People just want to get on reality TV shows and make money today. They don't care about talent. "Anyone can get on: fat people, tall people, skinny people, people in wheelchairs. Someone else makes millions out of them and their lives are ruined forever. "I hate it. I really hate it."
