What do Simon Cowell and Howard Stern both have in common? They're both dirty, stinking rich; that's what and according to the latest figures, they're both about $95 million richer than they were this time last year. According to Forbes' annual countdown of the 'Highest-Paid TV Personalities,' Cowell and Stern are joint top of this year's list, earning $5 million short of $100,000,000 in the space of the last twelve months.

Described as a "major behind-the-scenes mogul," Simon has seen his value go up even further in the past year through his job as producer; earning mega bucks from his work on The X Factor and the various ...Got Talent series that are aired across the globe. Up to 41 different countries now have their own version of The X Factor, whilst the various ...Got Talent offshoots have made him head of the biggest-selling television franchise in the world. And lets not forget the music either, as the One Direction manager has made a tidy sum through the artists signed to his SyCo label.

Stern on the other hand has made his millions from his work on radio, although his time as a judge on America's Got Talent reportedly earned him $15 million. He could have made it to the top of the chart had he succeeded in his lawsuit against Sirius XM. The DJ claimed that the satellite radio company duped him out of $300 million; money he earned from reaching certain subscriber milestones, however he was unsuccessful in his case as Sirius claims that he only met these targets because of the company's merger with XM.

Moving on with the list, at number three was right-wing Fox News preacher Glenn Beck, who has scored a reported $90 million in the past year through his TV work and his website, which charges people $100 to see videos of Beck doing what he does on TV. Meanwhile, falling from first place last year, Oprah Winfrey was fourth in the list this time round, taking $77 million in earning over the last twelve months. The Queen of Chat will surely be at the top of the list again sometime soon, with her station OWN expected to turn it's first profit this year and her popularity seemingly showing no signs of diminishing. With $72 million, Oprah's daytime chat cohort Dr Phil McGraw finished off the top spot.

Rush Limbaugh might still be facing a backlash after calling Sandra Fluke a "slut" live on air, however his earning power hasn't diminished too much as the right-wing commentator has amassed $66 million in the last year. Donald Trump came close behind Limbaugh with $63 million, earnings he made from his various business ventures outside of TV as well as his wok on The Apprentice. Following the thorough clean-out at American Idol, Seacrest is now the only man person left from the original line-up, which has helped him on his way to making $61 million of the past year. Finally, finishing off the top ten were two of daytime TV's most famous ladies; Ellen Degeneres (9th) and 'Judge' Judy Sheindlin (10th), earning $56 million $47 million respectively.
