The World's End World Premiere took place in London last night (Wednesday 9th July). The stars of the upcoming comedy attended: Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), Rosamund Pike (Pride and Prejudice), Nick Frost (Hot Fuss), Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit). Joining them on the red carpet was a vast array of actors, musicians and other celebrities.

The film centres on five friends, reunited after several years apart, who must prevent the end of the world. Following in the same fashion a Shaun of the Dead, a considerably amount of these unlikely heroes time is spend in the pub.

The stars were out en masse for the event which took place at the Odeon in Leicester Square, London. Those attending included: Little Britain comedian David Walliams; Peep Show actor Olivia Colman; Downton Abbey star Allen Leech; Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs and Game of Thrones' David Bradley

First look reviews indicate the comedy will be successful with Guardian critic Henry Barnes claiming the film "celebrates British eccentricity" whilst the Telegraph's Robbie Collin says writer and director Edgar Wright's lines are funny "because of their sheer everydayness".

The World's End is due out in the UK 19th July 2013, US cinema goers will have to wait until 23rd August.
