Guns N' Roses Confirm North American Summer 2016 Reunion Tour

Guns N Roses Slash Axl Rose

One of this century's biggest musical reunions is set to arrive this year as GUNS N' ROSES confirm 21 tour dates in a short teaser video, with a line-up that rejoins guitarist Slash and singer Axl Rose for the first time in 23 years. The new dates are in addition to their upcoming appearance at Coachella in April.

We knew Axl Rose, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan were doing at least one reunion show this year as the Coachella news had already been announced, but it seems they are extending their tenure this year with no less than 21 further dates. However, we're still waiting on the actual details; the only information they have released is a 15 minute video on their site yesterday (March 25th 2016) featuring the names of US cities where they will be playing. It also plays a snippet of their song 'Patience', worryingly taken from an album entitled 'G N' R Lies' but we're trying not to think about that.

Bodger & Badger Speak Out Against Badger Cull With New Clip [Video]

Brian May Slash David Attenborough

If you were a British child growing up in the nineties, you'll realise how exciting the news of the return of Bodger and Badger is.

The ventriloquist actor and his "talking" furry, potato-loving badger companion entertained scores of youngsters through nine series and 10 years from 1989 to 1999 with seemingly endless mashed potato jokes. But the duo's return is underpinned by a more serious note: the two B's have made their comeback in a one-off episode about the planned culling of badgers in Somerset and Gloucestershire - measures that are planned to supposedly rid the country's farms of bovine tuberculosis.

"Where's The Love Axl?" Slash's Wife Disappointed By Axl Rose's Jimmy Kimmel Interview

Axl Rose Slash Jimmy Kimmel Guns N Roses

In distinct contrast to his normal behaviour Axl Rose was a) on time and b) giving an interview, with Jimmy Kimmel. The GUNS N' ROSES front man hasn't given a live TV interview for 20 years, but now that he has a 12 date residency at The Joint at Hard Rock in Las Vegas is more than happy to do a little promo in aid of the performances.

Perla Hudson, the wife of ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, was disappointed by the interview and quipped about it in an interview with Us Weekly. She, like many other fans, was probably hoping for a more in-depth and revealing interview, rather than the brief and amusing chat with Kimmel that ultimately barely scratched the surface of Axl's interesting life and even more interesting psyche. "I was waiting for something enlightening and all I got was promotion for a show and his evident affinity for a chili burger," Hudson said.  "Where is the love Axl? And I stayed up for this? Sex, drugs and chili dogs. Long live Axl Rose. And a Halloween tree." Fixating on his weight, she said he has "evidently [had] way too many Tommy's chili burgers!" We can't disagree, he really is looking like a bit of a porker these days, in contrast to his high cheek boned and chiselled days of the early 90s.

Ah well, Axl turned 50 years old earlier this year, so gaining a few pounds is pretty much par for the course in middle age. In the interview he also expressed apathetic support for Obama, but that despite 'leaning' towards the Democrats, he won't be voting. A little odd given that his residency is titled "An Appetite For Democracy". Apathy, political contradictions and piling on the pounds, let's put it all down to creative licence. He's Axl Rose, he can do what he likes. The Guns N' Roses residency will begin on Wednesday 31st October 2012, with 11 futher days until November 24th of the same year.

Five Of The Worst: Beyonce For Super Bowl 2013; She'll Surely Be Better Than This Lot?

So it is Beyonce's turn to lead out the fun and games at the famous Super Bowl half-time show. Quite frankly it's been a long time coming; one of the premiere pop stars of the past decade and more, the former Destiny's Child's star power has been calling out for her to get the spot at some point. However, let's not get ahead of ourselves and assume that just because she is who she is, she's going to deliver a stunning fifteen minutes. Plenty of big names have been known to fall; here are some of, what we reckon to be the worst half-time shows in Super Bowl history.

Madonna, M.I.A, Nicki Minaj, 2012

The fact that everyone was talking about M.I.A having the audacity to stick her finger up at television cameras tells you just how boring this half-time show actually was. A creaking Madonna did what she's ended up doing on most of her shows this year and sent her crowd into a stupor, with garish and brash visuals and costume not making up for an utter formulaic performance from the (former?) Queen of Pop. She should be thanking M.I.A for giving us a reason to remember it to be honest.

Lemmy Review

Extraordinary
'Lemmy' is the biographical documentary film of one Ian Kilmister, legendary rock'n'roller and leader of Motorhead. Apparently 2 years in the making the film runs the whole gamut charting his early days in North Wales, hitchhiking to The Cavern to see The Beatles through to moving to London to roadie for Jimi Hendrix. From then he joined Hawkwind and later went on to form Motorhead and concludes with Lemmy in his current abode in Los Angeles where he now resides and has done for several years.

Despite making some of the most uncompromising music of the last 30 years, Motorhead for some strange reason, cross all boundaries. This is undoubtedly down to the enduring appeal of Lemmy - a man who's stuck to his guns and done things on his own terms to the point where he has just ended up being accepted.

Which gives credence to the fact that If you spend long enough doing something and which such conviction, people will eventually come round to your way of thinking. As a rock 'n' roll icon his influence has touched almost everyone who is anyone and the most surprising thing of all about this documentary is the sheer breadth of people who have fallen under his influence. The usual rock crowd is to be expected. Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), Metallica etc but its appearances of others such as Jarvis Cocker, Peter Hook (Joy Division), Mick Jones (The Clash), Marky Ramone (The Ramones) and Billy Bob Thornton that most surprise.

Slash Quit Smoking After His Mother Died

Slash SAUL HUDSON

Gunz 'n' Roses lead guitarist, Slash, was supposedly motivated to quit smoking after his mother passed away from lung cancer. The legendary guitarist, SAUL HUDSON, admits that after seeing his mother, Ola Hudson, pass away from the horrible disease, in addition to suffering from pneumonia himself, he has stopped the habit for good.

Hudson explained the decision to drop cigarettes, saying: "I've been off them for a year. The first time I quit smoking was because me and my wife just had a baby and she claimed the baby smelled like an ashtray. So I thought, 'Well, I'll give it a shot.' So I quit for a year and then I started again. Then this time my mom died of lung cancer, and I got sick with pneumonia. And after I got sick I had a cigarette in my hand and a lighter and I was about to smoke - and it just seemed really stubborn of me."
