Fact: Smashing Pumpkins rocker Billy Corgan set up shop in Chicago, Illinois and New York on Monday (08Dec14) to offer fans the chance to purchase the band's new album, Monuments to an Elegy, on vinyl, a day before its official release. The Big Apple pop-up store was located at Physical GraffiTea, which is located in the same building featured on Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album cover. Other band merchandise and Christmas gifts were also available at the temporary East Coast store.

Fact: Smashing Pumpkins stars Billy Corgan and Jeff Schroeder joined former Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook and his band, the Light, for a cover of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart at their show in Chicago, Illinois last week (ends14Nov14). Corgan sang the classic track while Schroeder joined his bandmate and Hook's act on guitar.
