Sound Of Guns - Sometimes

Sound of Guns' new single, Sometimes, is the latest single to be taken from their upcoming album, Angels and Enemies, which will be released on March 5th through Distiller Records. After headlining at HMV's Next Big Thing Festival on February 2nd, Sound Of Guns will embark on a UK tour in March 2012.

The video for Sometimes sees the girlfriend of frontman Andy getting captured by a gang. The band set out to rescue her and the other prisoners they've kidnapped. The ending sees Andy's girlfriend being set free, along with the other prisoners and together, with the band, they exact revenge on the gang.

Sound of Guns comprises Andy (vocals); Lee (guitar); Nathan (guitar); John (bass) and Si (drums). Since forming in Liverpool in 2008, the band has seen their fair share of controversies. Their guitars were stolen one night; their studio burned down and they were even surrounded by armed police, following a misunderstanding at a local gig in which a concert goer heard the band discussing 'guns'.

Despite all that, the band released their debut album What Came From Fire to positive reviews. They have celebrity fans in Miles Kane; Everything Everything; Delphic and The Courteneers, as well as radio support in Mary Anne Hobbs and Zane Lowe.

Sound Of Guns, Architects Single Review

On the face of it, Sound of Guns seem to be just another band on the endless list of bands who will at some point be forced upon you by the likes of NME with the title 'your new favourite band'. Unfortunately, like many of the bands who have been given this somewhat dubious honour, there isn't a lot to get excited about on their new single Architects.
