The Spice Girls will reportedly be starring in a TV documentary as they reunite for their 20th anniversary. But sadly not all five original members of the girlband will feature, as Victoria Beckham and Mel C have declined to reunite with their former bandmates.

The Sun reports that the three reuniting members, Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton are in talks to document their comeback in a three-part TV series. There’s said to be huge interest in the project, from both fans and TV bosses.

A TV insider said: “The Spice Girls comeback is the big story in pop so it’s no wonder the girls want to maximise their popularity. There is certainly a big audience for it. BBC, ITV and Sky will no doubt be fighting it out for the rights.

“The girls are always good value, so there will be plenty of material,” the source added. The documentary is said to be a mix of footage based on the recording process for their new material and a look back at the band’s 90’s heyday.

The doc will be similar to the one filmed by Take That for ITV in 2005, ahead of their comeback in 2006. Geri, Mel and Emma are also now said to have decided to continue as a trio, after it was previously reported that they’d be auditioning for new girls to replace Victoria and Mel C.
