In advance of Sony's release of The Amazing Spider-Man on July 3, the studio has posted on YouTube not only a trailer but also more than 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, much of which features star Andrew Garfield hanging from wires (which will be erased digitally) and doing his own stunts. Six separate videos have been posted online, which include scenes featuring such other cast members as Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Denis Leary. There's even a scene of Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee visiting the set. Sony and Marvel have also developed a Spider-Man videogame that they have posted online at http //www.theamazingspiderman.com/game. Some fans have expressed surprise that so much promotional content, usually reserved for DVD releases, has been thrown online in advance of the movie's opening.
