Fact: The songs that eventually made up Imagine Dragons' 2012 hit album Night Visions were originally intended for Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. The show features a score by U2 rockers Bono and The Edge.

Fact: The New York City apartment where the first three Spider-Man movies were filmed has been put on the market for $1.6 million (Gbp1 million). The triplex in Tudor City, which has a private terrace and sweeping views, served as the home of Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin character. The property was also featured in Scarface and The Bourne Ultimatum.

Fact: Former Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire sent his Mercedes loan car back to the dealership while filming The Great Gatsby in Australia - because it had leather upholstery. According to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' quarterly magazine Animal Times, the vegetarian actor decided to get behind the wheel of a luxury motor Down Under - but he couldn't stomach the idea of sitting in leather seats, so he asked his car finder to send him another Mercedes fitted with animal-friendly vinyl.

Fact: Bono and The Edge thrilled American TV viewers on Monday (18Jul11) by giving an impromptu performance of their hit song Stuck In A Moment - while still seated - during an interview with late show host David Letterman. The cast of their famous Broadway play Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark also gave an exciting performance, with Spider-man literally dropping in from the ceiling for a quick chat.
