Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opened in the U.K. on December 15th, and is intended a spin-off from the Star Wars canon, and Jones’ character leads a mission to steal the blueprints from the Empire’s new weapon the Death Star, meaning this is probably set immediately before the events of the first ever Star Wars film A New Hope.

An interview with Daisy Ridley about Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

Not much has been given away about Daisy Ridley's character Rey but here she takes some time out to chat about her character. As well as being incredibly strong and heroic, there's also a simpler side to the character that really made the role quite nuanced. Daisy says that it wasn't what she expected and she thinks might just surprise fans too.

When talking about her responsibility to take on and become such a huge part of Star Wars she says that she hopes it'll please the old fans but equally hopes it'll appeal to a younger audience who might not have already become immersed in the series.

Adam Driver talks about taking on such a dark and disliked character such as Rylo Ken and explains that he tried not to think of him in that light and actually see his side through a human aspect and what he's fighting for. Fans will be aware that Rylo Ken wears a mask, having his facial expressions taken away from him was one just one of the trickier aspects of the role, to combat this Adam had to put a lot of trust in himself and kept a mind of 'the power of thought' being such an important part of playing such a character.

Elstree 1976 Trailer

When George Lucas and the production team began work on Star Wars: A New Hope in 1976, not one of them could ever picture the movie developing to the magnitude that it has. Though the movie was operating on a relatively small budget (11 million), there was a huge cast involved, many of them in full head to toe costume.

Elstree 1976 takes a look at a few of the actors that made up that very special cast. They are actors who have never really known recognition for their work on one of the biggest movies the world has ever known. Since then, even though their faces may never have been seen on screen - some have found Star Wars has helped supplement their living through doing conventions and meet and greets with loyal Star Wars fans.

Elstree 1976 was directed by Jon Spira and was initially funded by 966 backers on Kickstarter pledging a total of £42,191 (GBP). The docu-film features interviews with a number of the original actors including Jeremy Bulloch who played Boba Fett.

The 73 year old appeared on a special Star Wars / Halloween edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ – dressed as a hot dog, natch – and spoke about his recollections of the incident, as well as the new movie.

Disney To Start Building Two 'Star Wars' Themed Attractions In 2016

Staggs, speaking at the Bank of America-Merrill Lynch 2015 Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills, remained tight-lipped as to when the attractions would actually be opened, but we already have a rough idea as to what the attractions will include when they do.
