Status Quo rocker Rick Parfitt let his late daughter down by refusing to give up alcohol and drugs after her death, according to the guitarist himself. Parfitt attempted to battle his drink and drug demons after his two-year-old daughter Heidi drowned in 1980, but admits the memories of her "floating face down in the water" sparked his self-destruction. He says, "Her death sobered me up, but before long I was back on two bottles of scotch a day and endless grams of coke. "I no longer took responsibility for my actions. It was like I died with Heidi."
