Embattled actor Stephen Collins is selling two California homes in preparation for his divorce hearing with estranged wife Faye Grant, which will take place next month (Nov14).

The former 7th Heaven actor filed for divorce from the actress in 2012, after 27 years of marriage, and the pair have been locked in a bitter war of words since a recording of Collins appearing to confess to molesting young girls was published earlier this month (Oct14).

Their long-running divorce proceedings have now stepped up as the pair is selling adjacent properties in Brentwood, California. In October last year (13), Grant filed divorce documents asking for the homes to be sold or for Collins take responsibility for them.

He is now offloading the houses and is asking for $5.5 million (£3.4 million) for the neighbouring properties, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The homes are also listed separately. Collins wants $2.85 million (£1.8 million) for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom mansion on a quarter acre of land. He is also seeking $2.7 million (£1.7 million) for the other home, which is a one-storey building that opens onto a lagoon-style swimming pool.

The divorce hearing will begin next month (Nov14).

The molestation claims are still under investigation but Collins has furiously denied any wrongdoing.
