Fact: Movies must meet new criteria if they are to be eligible for the two main British Academy Of Film And Television Arts awards from 2019. To be nominated for outstanding British film or outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer, the feature must meet two of four areas, including diversity in senior roles and crew along with on-screen characters and themes. The 2017 ceremony will be hosted once again by Stephen Fry on 12 February.

The ceremony will be held at London's Royal Albert Hall for the first time since 1997 while the usual venue, the Royal Opera House, undergoes renovation.
