Fact: Miss France Iris Mittenaere was crowned Miss Universe 2016 at the pageant on Sunday night (29Jan17). The 24-year-old prospective dental surgeon impressed the judges to beat top three rivals Miss Haiti and Miss Colombia to take the crown in Manila, the Philippines. Flo Rida and Boyz II Men performed at the pageant, hosted by Steve Harvey, while model Ashley Graham served as backstage host.

Fact: British funnywoman Dawn French is fronting the U.K. version of America's hit children's talent show Little Big Shots. She will help youngsters aged three to 13 showcase their talents on the ITV show. The U.S. version of the contest is hosted by comedian Steve Harvey, who co-created the series with Ellen Degeneres, and it ranked as the most-watched new programme on U.S. TV in the 2015-16 season.
