Fact: Singer Emeli Sande and Doctor Who writer Steven Moffat have been awarded honours at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. The Scottish singer, who studied neuroscience at the university between 2006 and 2009, was awarded an honorary degree for her outstanding contribution to the music industry on Wednesday (12Jun13). Moffat was handed a Doctor of Letters.
