The Stone Roses star Gary 'mani' Mounfield has offered to give fans a taste of his rock 'n' roll lifestyle by auctioning off a wild night out in his company for a charity auction.
The British rocker, also known for his tenure in Primal Scream, was among the guests at a charity gala in his hometown of Manchester, England on Saturday (31Jan15).
He had offered to bring along some signed Stone Roses memorabilia for a charity auction at the Las Vegas Fight Night event, but was unable to get hold of it in time, so he decided to offer up a night out on the town instead.
The star tells British newspaper the Manchester Evening News, "I was supposed to be getting some signed Roses stuff but I didn't get it in time, so I said to James (event organiser James Lindemann) why not just auction me instead? On a night out with me anything could happen - I could take someone to my favourite chippy (fast food restaurant) in north Manchester."
The night out with Mani sold for $3,520 (£2,200). Money raised at the event benefits three local charities.
