Cult British band the Stone Roses have sparked rumours they are planning to record a new album if their reunion is a success.
The Fools Gold hitmakers are expected to announce at a press conference on Tuesday (18Oct11) they are reforming for a series of gigs.
Fellow British rocker Shaun Ryder, a close friend of the band, has confirmed the reunion, telling The Sun newspaper, "It has been coming for a while."
And now it's emerged the band, fronted by Ian Brown, are planning to record a third album if the gigs are a success.
The Stone Roses exploded onto the British music scene with the release of their self-titled debut in 1989, but a protracted legal battle with their record company caused a five-year gap before the follow-up, Second Coming, hit stores. They split less than two years later, in 1996.
