Stormzy has put his ''whole body and my soul'' into his music career.

The 23-year-old grime artist is ''hell-bent'' on proving his musical ability to the world because he is desperate to be recognised as a ''credible artist'' as he has worked hard to break into the music business.

Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video, which was posted on HungerTV Online, the 'Shut Up' hitmaker said: ''I'm hell-bent on proving my worth, proving that I'm not little Stormzy from South London. I'm an artist.

''I've put my whole body and my soul and life into it so now I'm hell-bent on showing everyone I'm a credible artist.''

And the musician believes his latest music and upcoming album 'Gang, Signs and Prayer' has proved he is ''ready'' to take on the globe.

He explained: ''I feel like this body of work that I've made will help me to complete this mission and show the world that I'm ready.''

Stormzy - whose real name is Michael Omari - believes he has challenged people's expectations of him.

He said: ''I haven't done what's expected of an artist to do to get this level of support. I managed to tour the world, I've had sold out shows, and I haven't released an album or a body of work that my supporters can listen to and say 'I told you Stormzy was sick, listen to his album'.''
