The original line-up of British girl band the Sugababes looks set to reunite after singer/songwriter Emeli Sande revealed she is penning a track for the trio.
Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy founded the group in 1998, but all three left the line-up over the years and the Sugababes now consists of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen.
Rumours have swirled in recent weeks that Buchanan, Buena and Donaghy were set to hit the studio together, and now Sande tells the U.K.'s MTV News that she has created a song, Love Like This, especially for them.
She says, "Yes, that is true. I've written for the original line-up of the Sugababes, which I'm very happy about because I just loved them when they first came out.
"I loved their sound, it was so cool. It was very different, so I'm happy to kind of be involved in what started the whole Sugababes journey. It sounds amazing."
The news comes just days after Range cast doubt on the future of the current trio, revealing, "The Sugababes have got no plans for anything at the moment. Nothing. It's a break. There are no plans at all for the future. I've loved having some time out from the band."
