‘Dancing With The Stars’ has announced the departure of a second contestant this season already, with R&B singer Tamar Braxton apparently being forced the quit the contest due to “serious” health problems.

The ABC series, currently in its 21st season, has already suffered the elimination of ‘Real Housewives’ star Kim Zolciak in October after she failed to compete. It later transpired that she had an undetected heart condition, and had suffered a series of mini-strokes and had to undergo heart surgery. Now, it has seen the departure of another contestant in the shape of the former Braxtons singer.

During the most recent show on Monday (November 9th), the 38 year old returned to the dancefloor after what had reported to have been a bout of pneumonia, but the situation would appear to be worse than that, with Braxton’s dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy appearing in a hospital bedside Instagram pic with her.

Underneath, she wrote the caption: “With a heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem.”

“After yesterday's final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn't want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don't have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.'s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs),” Braxton continued.

“As you all know I will be the first to always encourage anyone to push through any obstacle that comes along one's way. But in this case, my health is my current obstacle. And in TRUE #tamartian form I must go about this the exact same way as I would anything else.”
