The Orange Is The New Black star shared the screen with the pop music icon and Zoe Saldana in the all-female road trip film, and when the trio returned to Spears' native Kentwood, Louisiana for a special premiere, Manning was mistaken for an overeager devotee.

During an interview on U.S. chat show The Talk on Wednesday (17Jun15), Manning recalls, "I arrived second, I think after Zoe Saldana, and I was on the (red) carpet and it was big. You could hear her (Spears) arrive because (screams).

"All of a sudden, extra security comes in and I get taken down - pummelled, like, tackled and held down - they thought I was a fan gone loose (sic). And I was like, 'But I'm in the movie!'"

Manning added that filming with the Toxic hitmaker was an experience she will never forget, saying, "It was pretty epic. We'd be on set and there would be fans all around, screaming and (holding) signs. The ADs (assistant directors) would have to be like, 'Shhh!' It was a ruckus trying to film. It was really interesting to watch and be around."
