Taylor Negron – the big-screen comedian best known for his work in movies like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and modern classic Easy Money, has died at the age of 57. The announcement was confirmed by multiple sources for Deadline, not long before the actor’s cousin, Three Dog Night’s Chuck Negron took to youtube with an emotional announcement.

Over the weekend, Negron received hundreds of tributes from friends, family and fans.

"I want to inform you that my cousin Taylor Negron has just passed away," he tearfully said online. "His mother, his brother Alex and my brother's wife Renee were all there with him. May he rest in peace."

He added, "I just wanted all you people who knew him and loved him to know he just passed."

Negron’s death prompted tributes from the likes of Eric Stonestreet, Rachel Dratch and Dane Cook, all of whom took to Twitter with their condolences.

After starting stand-up in high school, Taylor eventually secured gigs at the Comedy Store but making his film acting debut in the 1982 soap satire Young Doctors in Love. He would eventually go on to secure roles in The Last Boy Scout, Angels in the Outfield, Stuart Little and countless others. He was also proficient in small screen work, with appearances on The Hughleys, So Little Time and Hope & Gloria.
