Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy get enough headlines, according to cousin Christopher Lawford anyway.

Going out with Taylor Swift must be a daunting prospect for a guy, as she certainly won’t let a bad break-up go by without at least one smash-hit song. Conor, 18, seems to think it’ll be okay, and his cousin spoke to Inside Track recently to talk on the young lovers, and insists the papers should leave them be. “Mary Richardson was a big-hearted individual who cared deeply for her kids and they’ve suffered greatly for her not being there. So whatever Conor has to do to comfort himself, he should do it as long as they are both happy and healthy ... and left alone,” he said. Lawford is in town to promote his new book, Recover to Live, and he wasn’t the only family member weighing in on Swifts relationship. “Whatever makes Conor happy makes me happy,' his half-sister, aspiring actress Kathleen 'Kick' Kennedy, told New York Magazine. “I love Taylor; they're pretty cute together.”

This all comes after former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy, speaking to TMZ, gave his blessing to the pair. “We love Taylor Swift,” he said. “She's been a great friend and we're happy for Conor. If she wants to be in the family, she's already a part of it.” Phew! Going out with a Kennedy sounds like the proverbial family affair!
