The producer hit headlines last week (ends05Jun15) when he took to Facebook.com and vented about his conservative views, comparing gay sex to paedophilia.

The post prompted a backlash from fans and led to a series of festival organisers around the world dropping Ten Walls from their summer (15) line-ups.

The DJ subsequently apologised for his outburst, insisting the ill-advised post was "wrong and completely out of character", and claiming he would be pulling out of all live commitments, but the fall out continued as he was cut as a client by Coda Music Agency representatives, while label bosses at Phonica Records cancelled all pre-orders for his new Sparta EP.

Now President Dalia Grybauskaite has offered her thoughts on the situation, admitting the uproar could prove to be a good thing if her fellow country men and women discuss divisive topics like homophobia more openly.

According to the Lithuanian Tribune, she said, "I believe the incident benefits the state in a way that, in this country, we are becoming more and more open in our discussions about how insular we are, our intolerance of people who are different, as well as homophobia.

"I believe discussions are a healthy thing, we need more of them, as the sooner Lithuania becomes more open and more tolerant, the better it will be for the country."
