THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY returns for its season three premiere tonight (16th May 2011) and the new cast-members appeared on the 'Today Show' this morning to talk about the big return. 'Real Housewives' Teresa Giudice, JACQUELINE LAURITA and CAROLE MANZO dropped into the studio, as did newcomers KATHY WAKILE and MELLISA GORGA.
'Today Show' host Kathie Lee Gifford quizzed the cast on what fans can expect from the third season, with veteran Manzo saying, "The cameras catch it all". Tonight's premiere includes a huge argument at the christening of Gorga's son, but the newcomer says she was more than happy to join the cast, saying, "I thought about it for months and months, but I signed on the dotted line". Giudice said that despite the heated arguments often featured on the show, she was grateful for the opportunities, saying, "I was able to write my two books, but there's ups and downs. It comes with the territory". Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub, who featured prominently during season two of the show, will not be returning for the new series. Staub will instead join Heidi Montag and Jake Pavelka on a new reality television show slated to air on VH1 later this year. The programme will see the celebrities attempting to set up and run a successful restaurant.
Season three of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' is set to premiere on Bravo tonight (9pm).
