The Black Angels release their new single 'Haunting At 1300 McKinley' on 28th March 2011 through Blue Horizon. The single is taken from their latest album Phosphene Dream that was released in September of last year. The grizzly video for the single was directed by Philip Andelman known for his work with Rihanna, Jay Z, Band of Horses, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus to name but a few.
For four years the band members lived together in Austin at a house with the address 1300 McKinley which the band are sure is haunted, elaborating on some of their ghoulish experiences they said: "We've also seen several on Civil War battlefields and at the Alamo. At Gettysburg we heard rifle fire and cannon fire. We saw old lanterns dangling from trees in the distance. Up a tower, we saw a Union soldier slam his face against one of the windows; blood splattered everywhere and one of his eyeballs was dangling, then he disappeared."
Philip Andelman became involved with the video purely through a love of The Black Angles music, the black and white footage was shot in Paris and eerily follows one man who appears to have no safe haven from an invisible force which is hunting him down.
The Black Angels are currently on tour throughout the US.
