The Carpenters one-time guitarist TONY PELUSO has died of heart disease in Los Angeles.
The four-time Grammy Award winner, 60, passed away on 5 June (10), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As well as playing with Karen and Richard Carpenter, Peluso produced hits for soul record label Motown.
In all, he performed on or produced records that sold in excess of 150 million copies.
He also played for 1960s group Paul Revere & the Raiders and produced records by Smokey Robinson and Michael Jackson.
