Video - The Dark Knight Rises Christopher Nolan And Joseph Gordon-Levitt Arrive For Premiere - Part 4


'The Dark Knight Rises' director and writer Christopher Nolan arrives alongside his wife Emma Thomas who helped produce the film trilogy. Star Joseph Gordon-Levitt also made an appearance as did 'Gossip Girl' actor Penn Badgley and 'X-Men: First Class' actress Zoe Kravitz were also spotted at the event.

Nolan confirmed to The Press Association that this was his last 'Dark Knight' film, extinguishing the small flames of hope in the hearts Nolan/Batman fans. 'I've been working on Batman for almost 10 years', he said. 'I do have to say goodbye to the characters and that is bitter-sweet to me.'

'The Dark Knight Rises' stars Anne Hathaway and Juno Temple arrived at the film's New York premiere. Billionaire real estate magnate Donald Trump was also spotted on the red carpet with his Slovenian wife of seven years Melania Knauss-Trump.

29-year-old Hathaway ('The Devil Wears Prada', 'Alice in Wonderland') certainly managed to turn heads at the event with a glamorous, low-cut, floor-length white gown that photographers couldn't get enough of. Lead actor Christian Bale (with wife Sandra Blazic) and co-star Morgan Freeman were among the arrivals for 'The Dark Knight Rises' premiere in New York. Other arrivals were Marion Cotillard (also in the movie) and 'True Grit' actress Hailee Steinfeld with her older brother Griffin.

Now that Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy has ended, Bale has revealed that he can't wait to see who will do the next Batman film and how Batman will be portrayed next. 'I'll be fascinated to see which way they go, which choices that actor makes', he told Entertainment Weekly

Among arrivals at New York City's 'The Dark Knight Rises' premiere were stars Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy; Oldman with jazz singer wife Alexandra Edenborough and Hardy with 'Easy Virtue' actress and wife Charlotte Riley. Former 'American Idol' contestant and frontman of rock band Daughtry also made an appearance. His involvement in the Batman franchise included his recording of the song 'Drown in You' for the 2011 video game 'Batman: Arkham City'.

Oldman ('Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy') recently expressed a career scare to Jimmy Kimmel on his show when he managed to lose his 'Dark Knight Rises' script in his hotel room and was worried it would be found and leaked. It was, however, retrieved within minutes

Actors Christian Bale (The Machinist; Batman Begins; The Prestige) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception; Ten Things I Hate About You; 50/50) are spotted filming The Dark Knight rises in New York City. Joseph is seen talking to a member of the crew, before moving out of shot so that Christian can shoot his scene, with several extras portraying paparazzi.

The Dark Knight Rises is the highly anticipated second sequel to Batman Begins. It will also star Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Gary Oldman, reprising his role as Jim Gordon.
