Fact: Dave Matthews Band star Boyd Tinsley is the proud new owner of a piano after winning a bidding war with John Mayer and comedian Louis C.K. at the Friars Club Gala in New York on Monday (24Jun13). The violinist's top bid of $70,000 (£45,161) successfully edged out his star rivals at the charity auction, which benefited the Friars Foundation and the Gift of Laughter/Wounded Warriors Program.
