British rockers The Horrors have axed all their upcoming European tour dates.

The band was due to play in Paris, France on Thursday night (20Nov14), but they called off the show at the Cabaret Sauvage venue and informed fans the rest of the dates have also been axed.

A message from the band, posted on the Cabaret Sauvage website, reads, "We are sorry to announce that we will be cancelling our European tour dates this winter. It has not been an easy decision to make and we know this will upset people who have already purchased tickets. We hope you all understand that letting our fans down is the last thing we want but returning to the studio is what we feel we need to do right now. We will be back in 2015 and look forward to seeing you all then."

The news comes just months after the group cancelled a tour of the U.S. and Europe back in July (14). They blamed the previous cancellations on "circumstances beyond our control".
