Chart-topping rockers 'The Killers' release the music video for their latest single 'Runaways' taken from their upcoming fourth studio album 'Battle Born' set for release on September 17th 2012.
The video uses starry backdrops, shades of red and fading images to convey the desperate love story embedded in the track. With simple lyricism, a catchy chorus, resounding electric guitar riffs and the strong and passionate vocal of Brandon Flowers, 'Runaways' has such a classic rock feel but doesn't differentiate too much from the essence of what The Killers are despite them having not made an album for four years.
The quartet have recorded the album in their own studio, Battle Born Studios. It was much anticipated by their massive and diverse fanbase after they went on a hiatus in 2010 following eighteen months of touring and selling around 15 million copies of their last three albums, 'Hot Fuss', 'Sam's Town' and 'Day & Age', which all reached number in the UK charts. Daniel Lanois, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, Stuart Price and Brendan O'Brien were roped into the project to produce the 'Battle Born' comeback album which is set to be just as anthemic and purely brilliant as The Killers' other work. They are set to headline V Festival in the UK on August 18th - 19th 2012 and will appear on Leeds 02 Academy stage on the 17th.
