The Melodic Announce Xoyo Show Plus Debut Album 'Effra Parade' Out 17th March 2014

Brixton band The Melodic will release new single 'On My Way' on 10th March 2014, through Anti-, and will play XOYO in London on 7th May. 

The Melodic's infectious merging of folk, world beat and pop on their full length Anti- debut 'Effra Parade', will be released on 17th March 2014.

The band are currently on tour with Johnny Flynn in America and will be back in the UK to promote the album in February before heading back out to play SXSW and tour with Tinariwen.

The Melodic are a quietly radical band. After signing to U.S label Anti Records, (Tom Waits, Tinariwen, Calexico), they moved from their home in Brixton, London where the album was recorded, to live in L.A and New York. They busked in subways and toured non-stop for 6 months.

'Effra Parade' was self-recorded and self-produced in a sound proofed bedroom in South London over several years with a baroque line-up of 18 instruments. All the more impressive when you consider they are still in their early twenties.
