The Police drummer STEWART COPELAND isn't ruling out a second reunion for the iconic eighties act - because anything could happen in the next 50 years.
The warring trio put aside their differences to thrill fans around the world with reunion dates in 2007 and 2008, marking their 30th anniversary as a band.
When the shows wrapped up with a concert in New York City, frontman Sting insisted there would never be any more dates.
But drummer Copeland isn't so sure: "Who knows. I mean, I intend to be on the planet here for another 50 years; who knows what'll happen.
"To escape from The Police, we had to melt down the cage and... dismantle the huge behemoth that grew up around the band. The three of us had to get away from it. As to whether or not we do it again, who knows."
