The Raconteurs Hands Single

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'm still trying to get used to the idea of Jack White appearing within this full-band format. Yet, despite the concerns of many, The Raconteurs album 'Broken Boy Soldiers' has been pretty well-received and Hands is the 2nd single.

Hands is Abrasive rock n roll with giant guitar riffs. The lyrics are very cliche attaining to a special understanding relationship. This release features some exclusive b-sides including 'Intimate Secrecy' with its stunning Hendrix-like solo guitar riff. 'Store Bought Bones' which was recorded at Maida Vale, 'Hands' recorded live for XFM, and 'It Aint Easy' an acoustic David Bowie cover recorded for BBC 2.

Hands is a solid enough single, but it's a single that won't do much to erase the doubts of the Cult followers of The White Stripes. On the other hand, (no pun intended) the b-sides/live tracks provide a more attractive alternative, and with that in mind - it's a release that is probably worth parting with your money for.
