Ahead of the release of the official soundtrack to Marvel's 'Black Panther' (as well as the movie itself), a third single from the album has been unveiled entitled 'Pray For Me' by The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar.
It's their second collaboration, after 2016's 'Sidewalks' from The Weeknd's hit album 'Starboy', and marks one of many for Kendrick Lamar on the soundtrack for which he was named curator.
'Pray For Me' has been produced by Doc McKinney and Frank Dukes, and follows first single 'All the Stars' by Kendrick and SZA, and 'King's Dead' with Jay Rock, Future and James Blake. Other artists to feature on the album include 2 Chainz, Vince Staples, Khalid, and Travis Scott, while Kendrick also featured his own solo number 'Black Panther'.
Kendrick Lamar won big at the Grammy Awards this year, taking home the prize for Best Rap Album for 'Damn; Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video for his song 'Humble'; and Best Rap/Sung Performance for 'Loyalty' with Rihanna. Meanwhile, The Weeknd won Best Urban Contemporary Album for 'Starboy'.
Kendrick is touring across Europe this February, while The Weeknd is set to headline two festivals this summer: Coachella in Indio, California and Panorama in New York City.
The 'Black Panther' soundtrack will be released on February 9th 2018. The movie is out in US theatres on February 16th.
