On Thursday Gibson was given a two-episode suspension from the show. After news of his suspension broke the actor told Deadline: “There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. According to reports, Gibson was directing an episode of the show’s upcoming 12th season when he had an on-set dispute with a writer. Insiders say that the two then got into an argument which quickly escalated and Gibson ‘instinctively’ kicked the writer in the shin.

Deadline adds that this was not Gibson’s first on-set incident. A few years back he also allegedly pushed assistant director Ian Woolf and was ordered to attend anger management classes to remain on the show.
