Timber Timbre's new single, 'Bad Ritual' is taken from the Canadian band's second album, 'Creep On Creepin' On', which was nominated for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. The album is available to download and was released on the label 'Arts & Crafts'.
The video was directed by Olivier Groulx and features seemingly random black and white images shot in a style that looks almost 'Lynchian' and which adds to the moody sound of the song.
Taylor Kirk, Simon Trottier and Mika Posen formed Timber Timbre in 2005 and released their self titled debut album in 2009, on Canadian based label 'Out of This Spark'. Taylor and Simon have also produced the debut album for Canadian indie pop band 'Tasseomancy'.
Timber Timbre's name, according to the band, refers to an 'early series of recordings made in a timber-framed cabin set in the wooded outskirts of Bobcaygeon, Ontario'. The band have recently performed a sold out show at London's ICA and have announced more live dates throughout the UK and Europe, which are as follows:
